Our location is rural & remote on purpose, at 1000m altitude in a sleepy village in the heartland of Transylvania. There is virtually nothing around us apart from nature, forests, mountains & village life. Find us 2.5hrs from Bucharest Airport, 45min from Brasov and 15min from Dracula’s Castle.
Our secluded retreat venue is the quiet refuge for complete body & mind renewal. With beautiful gathering spaces, lovely lodging, and plenty of fresh air and space, guests quickly appreciate the healing power and wonder of their time here.
Originally from Ireland, Rob is our lead yoga teacher trainer at Akasha Wellness Retreat. Rob qualified in India and is a registered ERYT200, RYT500 & YACEP instructor for Ashtanga, Vinyasa & Restorative yoga. Having facilitated trainings around the world, Rob also certified in Canada with the WPA as a Water Safety, Stand up Paddle-Board Yoga & fitness instructor.
With a background in musical theatre and sales training, Rob has been teaching and training students for over a decade, has a passion for developing workshops and continuing education programmes and loves the aspect of personal development for both the mind and body.

Originally from the UK, Polly has facilitated trainings, retreats and workshops worldwide for the past 4 years, and continues to operate with no fixed base. With a BSc in Physics, a long-term background in dance, and many years of self-study into philosophy, she eventually realised that yoga was the meeting point for all of these interests. Her classes weave together embodiment practices, functional alignment, breath awareness and teachings from prominent philosophical texts. Her own practice is a blend of meditation, mantra and movement modalities, alongside contemplation and study. She believes that the body can be used as a vehicle for our awakening, and that this power is accessible to everyone through the living tradition of yoga.
Polly completed 300 hours worth of training in Ashtanga Vinyasa at Kranti Yoga in India in 2016. She is currently undertaking advanced training under the guidance of her teachers Tara Judelle and Dr Scott Lyons at the school of Embodied FlowTM.
