Akasha stems from ancient Sanskrit origins.

It is the first element of life, ether or spirit and it’s philosophy is deeply rooted in everything we do.

Medieval alchemists believed it could turn lead into gold and even prolong life. The ancient Greeks saw it as a god-like element, a substance that allowed humans to connect to spirituality and intuition. Ancient yogis saw ether as that which was unbound and all-pervasive, and the element of potentiality.

— IN ROMANIAN THE WORD “ACASA'” MEANS "HOME”.

We are Irina, Daniela & Elena.

The current custodians of Akasha Wellness Retreat. We started this family project by combining our experience in hospitality, functional medicine and our travels to healing places like India, Tibet & Sri Lanka.

We wanted to create a space that brings people together, where healthy food is delicious not just functional & where healing happens naturally with yoga, hikes, herbalism & relaxation. We wanted to surround ourselves with kind like minded people that believe in the power of healing that nature brings to the human spirit, like it did for us.
