The nearest airport is Brasov - Ghimbav with regular flights from the UK & Germany. More frequent flights can be accessed to Bucharest Otopeni, 2.5hrs away.

Brasov Train station is 45 min away and we can organise a pick from the station with 12hr notice, €35 one way.

Our retreat is designed exclusively for adults.
As a small and peaceful space focused on relaxation and connection with nature, we maintain an adults-only environment to ensure a serene experience for all guests.

Small pets are accepted on a request basis, as not all rooms are suitable for accommodating pets. A cleaning fee applies and is charged in addition to the room rate.

For the comfort of all guests, only small pets are allowed. Pets must be kept on a lead at all times and may not be left unattended in the rooms.

We are a nature retreat with 11 rooms that offers yoga classes, you’ll likely meet people that resonate with that at Akasha.

We do yoga and we are spiritual but we do not commercialise this. You cannot be more spiritual after visiting Akasha than you already are, our practices, workshops, classes, sound healing sessions, meditations and the natural world around will certainly profoundly impact you in some way but that doesn’t necessarily mean we fall in the category of a yoga / spiritual retreat.

We’ve been to ashrams and yoga retreats, those are different experiences to Akasha. We are a lighthearted place to stay, eat healthy food that is made sustainably, meet other people, do yoga, access nature & take a break from city life.

We charge a minimal amount for classes and workshops to cover the cost of a teacher travelling, boarding and teaching at Akasha, we do not make profits from yoga.

Akasha Retreat has been running yoga retreats for 4 years pre-pandemic. Since then we could not return back to the same format of set arrival / departure dates and weekly programme as most people travel short notice. This doesn’t allow for planning in advance the same way we used to. Now we have a flexible stay option where you can choose to come at your own leisure and participate in everything we do based on what you prefer whether it’s yoga, hikes, food, spa or simply just visiting Pestera.

We offer a limited number of reservations on our daily yoga classes, tours & activities for people that are not staying with us. If you’d like to experience our yoga classes, massages, sauna & jacuzzi, tours & activities these can all be booked on our website or message us directly to book your seat.
